Good Shepherd Children’s Center is a ministry of Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, and while we are rooted in Christian values, we joyfully welcome families of all faiths and backgrounds. Our focus is on providing a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported.
We strive to reflect the spirit of love, respect, and community in all we do—fostering a space where children can learn, grow, and thrive, regardless of religious affiliation.
We offer a variety of high-quality programs to meet the needs of busy families, including full-day and part-day preschool, before and after school care, and a fun-filled summer program for school-age children.
At Good Shepherd, every program is built on a strong foundation of learning and exceptional care. Whether your child is enrolled full-time or part-time, you can trust they are in a safe, nurturing, and positive environment—where curiosity is encouraged, and growth happens every day.
We proudly implement the Frog Street Curriculum in our infant through Pre-K classrooms. This comprehensive, research-based program integrates instruction across key developmental areas and early learning disciplines. It's engaging for both children and teachers and designed to be both effective and easy to use.
For our youngest learners, we are inspired by the respectful caregiving philosophies of Emmi Pikler and Magda Gerber’s RIE® approach (Resources for Infant Educarers). This approach values trust, acceptance, and the belief that infants are capable, self-motivated explorers and learners.
Our summer program brings learning and laughter together with creative, theme-based activities planned by our teachers—offering something new and exciting each year for all age groups.
Our mission in the infant room is to provide a warm, nurturing environment that supports the unique needs of babies in their earliest stages of development. We focus on creating a safe, responsive space where infants can grow through age-appropriate sensory play, bonding, and exploration. With a foundation rooted in faith, we support each child’s physical, emotional, and spiritual milestones from birth through early toddlerhood. Our goal is to honor the pace of each child’s development while building a loving community of care and trust.
Our mission for the toddler program is to nurture the rapid growth and discovery that takes place during this dynamic stage of development. We provide a safe, engaging environment where toddlers can explore, move, and express themselves as they build language, motor skills, and early social connections. Our goal is to support each child’s unique developmental journey with love, patience, and purposeful play.
Our mission for the 3-year-olds program is to foster curiosity, independence, and a love for learning during this important stage of early childhood. We provide a structured yet playful environment where children can grow socially, emotionally, spiritually, and cognitively through hands-on, age-appropriate activities. We strive to support each child’s growing sense of identity and confidence in a safe, nurturing community.
Our mission for the four-year-old program is to support children as they reach key developmental milestones in language, social-emotional growth, and early academic skills. At this stage, children are expanding their vocabulary, asking complex questions, developing friendships, and beginning to understand rules and routines. We provide a nurturing, faith-centered environment where they can build confidence, strengthen fine motor skills, and engage in imaginative play and problem-solving activities. Our goal is to guide each child through this exciting phase with encouragement, structure, and a strong spiritual foundation as they prepare for kindergarten.
Our before- and after-school care program for school-aged children provides a safe, welcoming space where kids can start and end their day with support, encouragement, and care. In the mornings, children are greeted with a calm, structured environment that prepares them for the school day through quiet activities. After school, the program offers a balance of homework support, creative activities, outdoor play, and spiritual enrichment. We focus on fostering positive relationships, building character, and encouraging responsibility in a fun and structured environment. Children are given opportunities to explore their interests, strengthen social skills, and reflect on their day in a faith-filled community. Our goal is to support working families while nurturing the whole child—mind, body, and spirit.
